I’m Steve de Brun, a designer and artist working professionally since 1994, and de Brun Design is a California S Corporation that I use for my commercial design activities. I cut my design teeth working under the mentorship of Nathan Shedroff at vivid studios, an early interactive shop in San Francisco, and then moved on to work as a Creative Director at News Corporation and a VP of User Experience at venture-backed startup Guru.com. For the past ten years I have provided design services to established and startup companies in the U.S. and abroad.
I typically work with companies and organizations on projects that require strategic creative and design services such as branding and logo design, user interface and application design, naming, identity collateral and print design, and information architecture.
I collaborate with a network of experts that includes coders, writers, illustrators, photographers, marketing and PR consultants, information architects, producers and project managers.
I consult at an hourly, daily or fixed fee, and occasionally work for equity with promising startup companies.
Clients
My clients include public companies, startups, educational institutions and non-profits that operate in many business sectors. Past startup clients have raised over $125M in venture financing and been acquired by AOL, Morningstar, Liberty Media and others.
